Joanna earned her PhD in Medical Sciences and began her career in academia. During that time, she experienced firsthand how unclear expectations, poor communication, and lack of support can quietly erode performance. That experience shaped the work she does today.
When she moved into business environments, she saw the same pattern again: talented people were not failing because they lacked ability, but because the systems around them made it harder to collaborate, communicate, and lead well.
That is what led her to build T-Shaped.

The letter T captures our philosophy: deep expertise in one area (the vertical bar), balanced by a broad ability to collaborate and work with others (the horizontal bar). Most organizations never leverage both bars because lack of leadership skills, day-to-day fires, looped meetings and unstructured decisions drain their focus. That’s where we come in.
