OUR STORY

How it all started

Joanna earned her PhD in Medical Sciences and began her career in academia, where she experienced one of the lowest and most confusing seasons of her life.

She wasn’t sure whether she should stay or leave — a crisis of identity that pushed her to reflect deeply on what makes people feel safe, supported, useful, and understood at work.

When she moved into business environments, she saw a universal pattern:

Brilliant, skilled, passionate people consistently hit roadblocks not because of their abilities —but because of communication breakdowns, unclear expectations, poor leadership, and interpersonal friction.

She became passionate about fixing the human problems that bottleneck performance.

Her work now bridges two worlds:

  • the evidence and clarity of science, and
  • the emotional intelligence and communication skills people need to thrive

Her mission: Help leaders and teams fix people problems so they can do the meaningful, high-impact work they signed up for.

WHAT IT MEANS

What does “T Shaped” mean?

The letter T captures our philosophy: deep expertise in one area (the vertical bar), balanced by a broad ability to collaborate and work with others (the horizontal bar). Most organizations never leverage both bars because lack of leadership skills, day-to-day fires, looped meetings and unstructured decisions drain their focus. That’s where we come in.
